24/7 emergency

Water running now? Call the line.

Ref EMG-24

Burst pipes, geysers discharging into ceilings and pools draining overnight do not wait for a booking slot. The 069 268 0988 line is answered day and night, and a technician is dispatched to locate the leak before the damage spreads.

Do this first

Three things before we arrive

Close the main valve

The main shut-off is usually at the municipal meter on the pavement, or where the supply enters the property. Turn it clockwise until it stops.

Isolate the geyser

Switch off the geyser at the electrical distribution board before draining or opening anything connected to it. Water and electricity do not mix.

Keep clear of ceilings

Do not stand under sagging plasterboard or put buckets under an active ceiling leak. Move furniture and valuables out of the room instead.

When you call

What happens next

  1. 01

    Triage

We establish where the water is, whether electricity is affected and whether the main valve is closed.

  2. 02

    Dispatch

The nearest available technician is assigned, with an arrival estimate given on the call.

  3. 03

    Locate

The leak is traced non-invasively and the point is marked before any repair starts.

  4. 04

    Document

Photographs, readings and a written report are issued for your plumber and your insurer.

Emergency fee

Detection fees follow the standard range — R850 to R5 000 for domestic work, R500 to R3 500 for pools — with any after-hours surcharge confirmed on the call. No-find, no-fee still applies.

FAQ

Emergency questions

Still unsure? Call the 24/7 line or send a WhatsApp and describe what you are seeing — we will tell you what test is needed.

Is there an after-hours call-out fee?

After-hours attendance may carry a surcharge, and it is always confirmed with you on the call before a technician is dispatched — never added afterwards.

What if the water is near electrical fittings?

Switch off the affected circuit at the distribution board and do not enter standing water. Tell the dispatcher immediately so the attendance is prioritised.

Can you attend at night?

Yes. The 069 268 0988 line is answered 24/7 and night attendance is available across Pretoria, Johannesburg and Cape Town.
