CCTV Drain Inspection
Ref CV-06
Not every water problem is a supply leak. Groundwater infiltration, a cracked drain or root intrusion can keep a site wet for years while supply lines test perfectly. A CCTV push camera shows the inside of the pipe, records the footage and measures the defect's distance from the access point.

How it is applied
Four controlled steps
- 01
Access and prepare
The nearest access chamber is opened and the line is cleared enough for a clean camera pass.
- 02
Push-camera survey
A camera is pushed along the line with a sonde, recording footage and depth/location data.
- 03
Identify defects
Cracks, displaced joints, root intrusion and infiltration points are noted with their chainage.
- 04
Report with footage
You receive the footage, defect list and measured locations for the repair team.
Best applied to
- Recurring blockages and slow drains
- Groundwater infiltration and wet basements
- Boundary and municipal connection disputes
- Pre-purchase and dilapidation surveys
Limits and conditions
The line must be accessible and reasonably clear. Collapsed sections may require excavation before the camera can pass.

FAQ
CCTV Drain Inspection questions
Still unsure? Call the 24/7 line or send a WhatsApp and describe what you are seeing — we will tell you what test is needed.
Do I get a copy of the footage?
Yes. The recorded survey and report are handed over as part of the inspection.
Can you tell how deep the defect is?
The sonde and chainage give distance from the access chamber, and depth can be estimated where the camera is equipped for it.
Is this needed if I already have a supply leak?
Not always, but on wet sites and basements it prevents a supply-only diagnosis from missing a second, drainage-related cause.
